Welcome to Ginger Snap Cake Boutique: homemade cakes with a mother’s touch of love in every one.

A couple of years ago, I saw a friend make a cake using fondant and she sent me the link on how to make it. It got me thinking “I could do this!” so I gave it a try. The first cake was interesting to say the least, but as time went on, it got easier and I really started to enjoy it. I started making the birthday cakes for my two ginger-haired children and was getting glowing comments. Then I ventured out and started making them for people other than family and work events, once again glowing reviews. So I had a thought, “Yes I am a mom of two young children, work full time out of the house, but I can do this, I can have a side business making cakes for people to surprise their loved ones with”.

Baking is my passion, decorating these cakes gives me a sense of peace and calmness. I do this because I truely love it not because I have to and that is a wonderful feeling.
